Is there a way to lock an account?
in UO, the owner of the account, if he/she wishes, can temporarily disable an account, lockout anyone (including the the owner) access to the game account. The character is also sent into a jail cell where the only way to be teleported out into the game world was via GM power. I was wondering if a similiar feature is available in Guild Wars, if hacking is suspected you could call up support to freeze the account immediately until the problem is fixed. Since GW do not support giving your items back if an account has been infiltrated and items in it have been stolen.

As of right now there is no way to lock an account. Also there's no support number that you can just call up, most of it is done through guildwars.com/support and you're taken through the forms there. Some games have it and it is a nice feature, I think it would cause problems when trying to get your account unlocked. Maybe if you gave them the original activation code from your cd case.

Nope. The best you can do if someone hacked your account is immediately ask support to change your password and then you can kick the hacker off your account.

I tried calling support nc as listed on the contact info. Their touchtone feature is broken. I press 1 for password issues, 3 for other inquiries eventually and the automated digital voice just keeps repeating the options I must choose from.
Anyway, right now I don't feel safe changing my password online as I would have to launch my GW.exe for that |

I think now you have to do it thru the NC Soft website.
